Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your purchase from The Banarasi Graph. However, if for any reason you’re not satisfied, we’re here to help!

Return Window

  • You can raise a return request within 3 days of receiving your order.

  • Requests made after 3 days of delivery will not be accepted.

  • Cancellation requests can only be made before dispatch of your order.


How to Request a Return

To raise a return request, please send us a WhatsApp message using the chat button on our website and include:

  1. Your Order Number

  2. A photo of the product you wish to return

  3. The reason for returning

Once we review your request, you’ll receive a confirmation email with shipping guidelines.


Eligible Items for Return

  • Only unstitched garments (sarees, stoles, and dupattas) are eligible for returns.

  • The product must be unused, unwashed, and unworn.

  • Must be in its original packaging with tags intact.

  • Sale or discounted items are not eligible for return.

  • Sarees will not be accepted for return if blouse stitching or fall/pico has been done.

Note: Slight irregularities in handwoven Banarasi fabrics are a hallmark of handmade craftsmanship and should not be considered defects.


Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged,

  • With a manufacturing defect, or

  • As an incorrect item,

please email us at thebanarasigraph@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving it.
We’ll arrange a replacement at no extra cost.
If replacement isn’t possible, you can choose another product of the same value.

  • For Indian customers: Return shipping is free.

  • For international customers: Shipping costs for return must be borne by the customer.


Return Charges

  • No return charges within India — we’ll schedule a pickup for you.

  • International returns: Shipping cost is to be covered by the customer.


Refunds

Once we receive the returned item:

  • Refunds will be processed within 1–2 working days as store credit, usable for future purchases.

  • You can also request a refund to your original payment method (credit/debit card), though return shipping and a small restocking fee may apply.

  • For COD orders, refunds will be issued as store credit within 1–2 working days after return pickup.

Note:

  • Refunds or bank transfers apply only to prepaid online orders made on our website.

  • Refunds are initiated within 7 working days, but bank processing time may vary.

  • Products bought on sale or discount, or those exchanged, are not eligible for monetary refunds — only store credit will be issued.


Customized Orders

Customized items are made specially for you and hence cannot be refunded or replaced.
If you’re unhappy with your customization, write to us at thebanarasigraph@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to assist.


Cancellations

  • You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placement, provided no tassel, fall, or pico work has begun.

  • Upon cancellation, you’ll receive store credit equal to your order value.

  • If you prefer a direct refund, bank/payment gateway charges will be deducted before processing.


Exchanges

  • Exchanges are allowed only if no fall/pico work has been added.

  • Customers are responsible for customs duties and shipping costs for exchanged items.

  • For international exchanges, to-and-fro shipping charges apply.

  • Since all our products are made to order, stitched apparel and cut fabrics cannot be exchanged.

  • Items that are opened, unfolded, or tried on are not eligible for exchange.


✨ Every Banarasi piece is handcrafted with care. Minor weaving variations or irregularities are part of its unique charm and authenticity — not defects.
